Govee 65.6ft RGBIC LED Strip Lights, Smart WiFi LED Lights with Alexa and Google Assistant, Music Sync, DIY, for Living Room, Christmas, 2 Rolls of 32.8ft Review

I installed this in my bedroom and bought a 65.6ft kit, enough to walk around the room about 1.5 times. The light output is almost enough to be the only light source for my room! The kit is very responsive and I'm happy with it. I used to install a 32ft*1.5 govee kit for this room (I bought connectors and used some of the 2nd kit as an extension of the installed 32ft kit without using a power supply) - the power this kit is 2-3 times higher . ARGB is a nice upgrade over RGB. I recommend!

I installed them behind my 3ft x 6ft glass panel to light them up. The total length I needed was 18 feet, so 16.4 feet wasn't long enough. I chose a length of 32.8ft and took the risk of trimming it down to about 18ft at the correctly marked point. I wasn't sure if this would work based on other reviews and Q&A. It works if you cut in the right places, but you sacrifice full scene and self-customization functionality, resale value, Revain's returnability, and supplier customer support.

I installed several LED strings and noticed that they are different. I figured that these were two real numbers that could be stringed together. no They are already connected. So the controller is in the middle (32 feet in each direction) and is hardwired2) can't be cut off. Most of them can be linked together or used in a different area with a different controller. 3) Since they can't be cut if you need to go around corners or "jump" over a section, that's not really an option. This is touted as the brightest light bar. Actually it isn't. The other model H6144/H6143 is slightly brighter than this one. There's also an IC to drive all five LEDs, meaning the effects are more 'spread out'. On the H6144/H6143, one IC drives THREE LEDs, so the effects are more "localized". is a single continuous strip of 32.8 feet, as opposed to two 16.4 foot stages in the H6144 (32.8 feet total).

I ordered a set of Govee RGBIC lights the same length but without wifi and said 'Waterproof' but when I received them the insert said they weren't waterproof so I figured it must read something wrong. I ordered this slightly more expensive set, which literally says "waterproof" in the name, and it said so in the instructions. I think I'll have to send them back as I was planning on installing them on an open balcony. I can't even tell if they work as I'm not paying that much for a light I can't

UPDATE: Passed the quick change program via the Govee app. It was a good experience. Today I received a replacement strip and it connected straight away for the first time. Works great.
