Received new product and all functions worked except when connecting headphones. I plugged in the headphones and sometimes the device turned off and sometimes the sound still came out of the device's speakers instead of the headphones. Tried three different headphones with the same results, no luck. Packed and returned.

I bought this to listen to meditation CDs with headphones at night. So far I can't get my headphones to work in it and after the CD has finished playing it starts making this weird screeching noise I think to alert you that the CD has expired. It woke me up immediately and it took me forever to figure out how to turn this thing off. The buttons are all black, so it's very difficult to read and understand which ones do what. These should be very noticeable as there is no way of telling what radio frequency you are listening to. Otherwise the ratings will be correct. The CD and tape ads are patchy and inadequate. Good thing it plays cassettes and CDs; Well, the speakers deliver good sound for a compact device, and it's pretty damn portable. This radio frequency thing is driving me crazy though. Who does it?
