While glass shakers are beautiful and good looking, metal lids are terrible. Scratched and discolored in places, they are either very old, not new, or have been stored in a very damp place.

Let's clarify what they do with these caps. I threw them away. I ordered them because I broke one of my old ones, not from this company. The lids on my old kit are alum and have no oxidation issues. I used lids from my old set. Definitely don't buy these and want the covers to be decent, mine are where they are rusty from the packaging.
