Great stand but missing part

The stand works great but installing and following the instructions mentions a rubber boot that needs to be removed, trimmed and reinstalled. There was no rubber sleeve, the packaging was sealed.

  • A dream come true

  • Too long to wait

Continuous. Cut with a hacksaw and add a rubber tip

I used my circular saw to cut 1.5" and 2" respectively for 18" and 16" kids bikes (look at the sidewall of the tire) , then put on the rubber handpiece I bought separately below. If you don't use a rubber tip, you may want to cut less. The attached paper instructions allow you to use a hacksaw. A screw, lock washer and top mounting plate were also included. You can hand tighten the knurled screw head, but I used my own hex screwdriver (not included). The stand (and top plate) are made ofโ€ฆ

Perfect fit for Specialized Sirrus Comp Disc

If you have a Specialized Sirrus bike (I had a 2014 Comp Disc) with a KS center mount then this is what you are looking for. You don't even need the included retro kit. All you need is 6mm long. Bolts (screwed from below) and latches (both included) and mount with 6mm. hex key. I also bought a KS rubber foot. This raised the kickstand a bit, so I had to use a hacksaw to cut it to the right size (for your perfect "Bike Lean"). It's made of forged aluminum, so it's very simple. Not only was itโ€ฆ

Not very versatile but easy to modify

Ha! My bike is now self supporting! I installed it on Fuji Finest 1.1. There was not enough space for an installation without modification. Luckily, an angle grinder with a cutting disc made the necessary modifications much easier. (See photos.) I ended up shortening it to 270, but maybe a little shorter would have been even better. It's impossible to invoke, so I'm happy to prove it wrong. Of course, bike snobs will look down on you for daring to put up a rack, but I will look down on allโ€ฆ

Great stand for the money

I had no idea if this would work on my 30" Raleigh. Reviews were positive so I gave it a try for $16. minimal instructions. For installation is a Adequate size hex wrench required, works great for the specified length, if you have a shorter bike or kids bike you will need more tools to cut the kickstand down to get it working properly, I also bought a Greenfield rubber foot to prevent that the stand sinks in on soft ground. It fits and works great and is easy to install. The stand is solid andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • All positives
Cons
  • No performance

Originally looking for a rear stand for my 2018 Marlin Trek 5 but not happy with that Offer So I decided this main stand out of the box doesn't fit my wheel the top plate was too big it's not a problem after that my mt wheel is a 29er and the footpeg holds my wheel ok i didn't have to change the length at all.although I've been playing around, couldn't find a suitable quick release rear stand, this stand does the job well although it's not easy to remove when I want to use my MTB for mountainโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Questionable senior purchase

Greenfield makes great footpegs!

I've tried at least 5 other footpegs that fit your chainstays but none of them worked. I'll admit I had to 'modify' my bike a bit to fit this footpeg (most likely you don't have to) as my NEW bike ('Fuji Nevada 29er') with disc brakes didn't come with it (a lot of people asked why the new bike doesn't have a side stand, to which I had no answer) but I fitted it and when I had it I was glad I did. I had a Greenfield rear stabilizer footpeg on my last bike and it was the most secure footpeg Iโ€ฆ

Great retro style stand

This is a really good stand. The app was on the 2013 Diamondback Steilacoom CCX. The footpegs were not included with the bike. Much more convenient to have a stand. The big problem was removing the front derailleur cable that was coming out from under the bottom bracket. Almost all descriptions of footrests make little or no mention of dimensions. The potential buyer is completely at a loss and not sure if the stand is the right fit. For all readers considering purchasing this stand, here areโ€ฆ
