Contractor Bit

This was purchased in addition to a set of these bits I purchased six years ago. I just replaced a 2 1/2" drill bit after drilling countless holes in various metals.

Pros
  • Durability and speed ensure a low cost per hole
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

not as shown in the picture

If you order this it is not as shown in the picture, you will only receive a hole saw, you need to order the small mandrel 925-011 to make it use. The saw is very sharp and seems to last a long time. It's not for thick materials, it only cuts a few millimeters before you hit the hub.

Pros
  • No tools required to change the cutter size
Cons
  • Expensive

Exceptional

I am converting vehicles to run on natural gas and need to do a lot of custom work including cutting holes in truck/van bodies and side panels. I've blown a lot of hole saws from the big stores but they didn't last very long. When used properly (low speed, sufficient pressure), this cutter has survived 15 magazine bits. The quality more than made up for the extra price. Yes, you have to cut the mandrel separately, but of course it can be reused.

Pros
  • Product Type : Saw
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
