They deserve at least three stars because they are metal free. cleans just as well or even better with the curved Soft Pick Advanced - twist slightly to reach any surface. Additionally, due to the curvature, the Advanced product can be inserted from the inside of the mouth, not just the outside. Likewise, the (blue) Tepe toothpicks fill in the gaps, even more so than the wide gaps of the gum soft picks (although Tepe is tricky to use if you're trying to get in between teeth from the inside). They are so fragile. GUM has another product that I must have overlooked when making my final decision. I will try to find it again. The second they hit anything harder than air, they collapse. When you pull it back, it looks like a small Christmas tree that has been crushed by a garbage truck. I am so disappointed that I have to go through the hassle of sending it back. But yes, they are gone.

They are a bit more expensive than regular sized picks but this product was good value for money. They're made for one-time use, so don't expect them to survive multiple times. I have both standard toothpicks and wider ones. These wider ones obviously work more efficiently for larger gaps, but the materials are also stronger and more durable than standard picks. However, I have both sizes and use them regularly. In addition, the small suitcase is perfect for stowing in a travel bag. Definitely recommend.
