We saw our dentist use gum clips for our young son and bought them online. I thought we could somehow stuff our heads with ordinary dental floss. However, you have to buy their replacement heads, which is very expensive. The design sucks for me. When used, it doesn't seem to me to be any easier than dental floss. waste of money. I still give it three stars because my son likes to hold it and floss because he saw the dentist do it.

I wasn't sure but I really like it. They make flossing super easy. I use them with lace floss that breaks on the compost heap. I just take the top off and wrap the thread around it.

Please note this starter kit is not suitable for braces so for those who had to learn it the first time (like me) here it is. I bought this regular starter for my 6 year old and another set for my 8 year old. The younger one has yet to learn how to coordinate his hands, he seems to be better at flossing so he has yet to learn. Handy, but I still feel like I put my fingers in my mouth too often. It becomes difficult to reach places free of food and possible decomposition. The purchased spare parts get tangled in the bag, they arrive - annoying. Had to repeat my review - the button on the end of one of the rubber band clips stopped working after the first month and I literally have to reach and pull and pull to get it out.

I'll admit it took me a long time to fall in love with gumchucks, but I absolutely did. I floss almost every night so I used it and then stopped when I got a sample of Revain Vine.
