Description of Gumzo Video Conferencing
Gumzo is the first made in Africa Video Conferencing platform.
The 2020 pandemic caused educational institutions, workplaces and social groups across the world huge challenges.
All across Africa, people were trying video conferencing for the first time to chat with their loved ones and get work done.
At the time, most of the international platforms available hosted their servers overseas, resulting in poor quality and dropped calls.
Even worse, billions of shillings were leaking from the continent to fund these Silicon Valley ventures like Zoom, WebEx, Skype and Microsoft Teams.
We created Gumzo to address all that. Our local servers ensure better quality calls with crystal clear video and voice signals. Best of all, every call on Gumzo helps create local jobs keeping the money in our local economy.
50% of all fees collected on Gumzo are donated to Corona response efforts in Africa. All Public school teachers have free access to the platform as well.
