Sorry I didn't read it fully before buying. My original Zenith remote used only 1 battery. This one takes 2, which I didn't realize until I asked for another one, thinking it wouldn't work. My little son suggested I try 2 batteries, guess what it works great! I use it with my Sony DVD/VCR and everything works great.
