After I put it to the test, these pants definitely did not live up to their name. The "slim" fit was hardly slim at all, making these pants look bulky and unflattering on my son.

This brand was smaller than expected so we had to return the size 12 we originally bought and changed it to a size 14. Size 14 fits perfectly!

I followed the advice in other reviews and ordered a size up and they fit my tall thin son perfectly. There's no internal elastic, so it needs a belt, but it's not going to be a ridiculous paper bag or anything. The length is just right. He also said they're like "secret sweatpants" because they're so comfortable. For reference, he's almost 5ft 7in tall and weighs 100lbs and we ordered a size 18 Slim.
