It works but is very noisy. It already sounds like a mixer in fan mode, and even louder in cold mode. My 20 year old window air conditioner is not that loud. I'm a very light sleeper and have sensory issues so I had to go back

One of my buddies installed it. The noise level didn't seem that loud to me. However, if you need serious focus, it might be better to put it in a different room. Don't say it's loud. Although it is still a window air conditioner which is not noisy for some people, it will be noisy for someone else.

This device is nice and cold. I have used this brand before and am very satisfied. The filter is on the left instead of the right for easy access and cleaning. The front cover is removed with 2 screws, the coil and air outlet can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Keeps the bedroom comfortable when it's 98 degrees and humid outside. Good unit.

The hype is real, it's super quiet and cools well, and that's worth its weight in gold. The compressor baffle and muffling on the compressor mounts, separate motors for the condenser and evaporator coils, and the use of a cylindrical fan all contribute to the low noise level. Unit received well packaged with no damage or indication that it was a return. However, the marketing claims and the price of this device do not match. I researched this as there were some production issues with compressors failing on some units causing them to be noisy or not cooling. Such lots may be sold by third parties.
