I used the old model for a month then ordered this one, absolutely love it, it's pretty quiet and does a great job of removing moisture from the air.

Don't even think about running that in the bedroom. The noise level is comparable to what was built for basement use in the 1970's. I recently bought another brand for only about $40 and can't believe how quiet it is.

Must be emptied every 10 hours in an air conditioned home but can keep the thermostat a few degrees higher at night due to lower humidity. In an area of 1200 square feet, it only changes humidity by 5 percent. I have a well sealed well insulated house. I would buy it again. Probably no!

Wow this hot and humid summer I'm pouring 20 pints a day out of my basement. So easy to set up and use. It will stop when the basket is full or you can start the drain line. I've had other dehumidifiers that didn't last long. It's still possible! I hope you found this review honest and helpful :-)

Looks like a very functional and smart device. However, all that intelligence has been blocked by a magnet mounted upside down in the water level sensor, making it think the trash can needs emptying even when it's empty. This is easy to fix, but the documentation doesn't describe how to fix this problem. 4 month update: became very noisy. Something inside me creates a terrible vibration, but I don't do anything to make it go away. It became unbearable.

I may have gotten a bad one but I just got it and set it up and as soon as the compressor kicks in it rumbles so loud I can't be in the same room until this is will. I can see it's the left side panel with the hose connection. When I press I'm it, it calms down.
