Glossy, not matte. Won't last a day in a cool office.

Tried a little/a lot, head/body, wet/dry, dry shampoo/no, blow dry/no, rub on hands/direct application and none of them worked as advertised. This is not a true matte clay/wax. Leaves a clear shine on the hair. My previous clays left no shine. I wanted to try the new sound. Bad idea. Not enough for the whole day. I work 9 hours in an air-conditioned office. In a cool office my hair starts to tangle, sag and lose its hold. I had to constantly reapply or brush my hair for several days. I tried it

Good product! for styling products

I won't lie. I've bought many different hair products over the years trying to find the 'right one' and I think I've found it. I have used many different waxes, fibers, creams and lipsticks all claiming to have a "hard" or "heavy hold" and this is one of the few that actually fits the description. This is not Boogies Hair Clay

5 stars because it would be unfair to judge this product on what it is not. I was encouraged by reviews comparing it to DSC Boogie's Casual Hair Clay. I find it significantly stickier and heavier than DSC clay. Consistency and performance is more like DSC Boogie hair fiber. It's still not a bad product, but it's not a direct replacement for DSC audio. I have 1/2 hour of tone left and will be content with DSC hair paste until I find something better or DSC returns the tone. As always YMMV.

Contains 66% FX molding wax (too strong smell)

I am looking to replace a (discontinued) FX molding wax and this review is written with this product in mind. Hair Dough Styling Clay For Men is stickier, tastier and more expensive with less hold and delivers about 70% of what FX Molding Wax did for me. Simply put, this product is not very good. It has excellent fixation, but without exaggeration, the product is comparable to the adult version of the adhesive paste. It is very difficult to spread even when the hair is wet, it dries out the hair and is very difficult to wash out of the hair.
