🔥 HAKKO Soldering Iron Cover 605M Review

I bought this item because I have a Hakko FX600 and needed something to keep it safe. Ideally, I wanted a small case or pouch, but I found it because it's made by Hakko. This item is a felt pouch with a spring inside to keep the iron from sticking out, nor does it melt or burn when you're done. It slips over the metal end of the iron and fastens around the handle with Velcro, keeping the tip and side of the iron secure. I wish it was a few bucks cheaper but this is a quality product from Hakko.

For highly professional specialists like me, this choice is obvious! Protecting your gear and yourself from possible burns is no question! It is important to protect your investments from damage and from being damaged by it. It's just common sense and safety. This is not a glamorous product! So what! I'm pleasantly surprised at how well this works. I bought it to use with the Hakko FX-600 which is my travel tool and iron. Supposedly Hakko made this case to fit their 120v irons, which is certainly the case. I've also tried it on my Pace irons and the larger/older Pace PS-90 works well too. The more modern cartridge-based Pace TD-100 fits in the sense that it won't get lost in a case or whatever, but the handle is too flimsy for anything to grab the case's Velcro.
