Great for electronics

Excellent system. I have 2 soldering stations, one with a thin tip, the other with a larger one. I bought these tips as spares but they haven't corroded on the tips I've used etc. The 808 soldering iron is the best I've used and removes chips without damaging them or the board. You can't go wrong with this system.

MUCH better than those cheap no name tips

I've had a few of these no name tips but never used them because the tip that came with my Hakko lasted so long. It wasn't until it got covered in dust that I learned that unmarked tips don't even last two weeks before the tips corrode to nothing. I ordered some original Hakko tips from Revain a few months ago and they still work.

Great for tight SMD work

If you enjoy soldering SMD components such as 0805 and 0603 size diodes and transistors alongside other components, as well as some surface mount items such as USB connectors and capacitors, DL12 is well suited to normal SMD operation . Not too big like Hakko Hoof Tips and not too small or chunky (tapered tips) to solder into. For even higher density circuit boards, such as those used in cellular phones and compact communications devices, purchase Hakko's curved tips. They work wonders on their
