Socket does not fit

Bright and energy efficient, but there is a design flaw where the socket cannot be plugged into an outlet without modification. The wire is too thick on both sides. After trimming one side, it barely fits.

Not as bright as expected

They were difficult to fit into the wedge base application my jig required. Something fits the lamp, something doesn't. Meanwhile, the regular incandescent bulbs I usually use never caused such problems when putting them in. I ended up sending the pears back.

Lost fixture in fixture

Works well but two mounting issues should be noted as length does not fit all fixtures that accept halogen bulbs. The second problem is that the brightness is radial and lateral. Very little of the end of the bulb. When plugged in most of the light is hidden in the fixture and unless you have a good reflector the light in the fixture will be lost.
