I am terribly disappointed in this expensive device. It's cheap plastic and it's very "fussy" about the shape/size/angle of the food and the "butt" part seems to break it at an angle where the edges are where the food is" crumbles". I've tried sweet potatoes, zucchini. and the apple didn't look like the pictures! - I really think I can rub/cut better and faster with my hands and swear a lot less! I missed the return window - it's my fault but I will be extremely skeptical of purchasing Hamilton

I've always wanted to use a spiral machine for all my summer vegetables and it's really an easy machine to assemble with a minimal number of parts (6-7). There are 3 different blades: spaghetti blade, thicker spaghetti blade and band. I sliced some carrots and the machine ripped them apart with no problem. The machine is easy to assemble and runs very quietly.
