Blasting lid is good for small household appliances

I use the multicooker for the second time. The first one was great, the second one too. until I put the lid in the dishwasher. When I put it in the dishwasher the lid hadn't been removed from the multi cooker for about 2 hours so the jar wasn't hot yet. Well, when I put the lid in the dishwasher it just exploded (as you can see in the photos). I'm at a loss for words as I've never seen this before, especially after only two uses! I'll contact the company and see if they replace it for me…

Trust a cheap device for a lifetime

It is worth noting that Hamilton Beach has been our trusted home for over 40 years and in all that time we have never returned. Two separate units though, both defective on delivery and I don't believe in coincidences. Also, there is too much current flowing through this thing for me to trust that I can walk away with two consecutive electrical failures. Delivery from two different warehouses. The first block was replaced because a hole had melted in the aluminum floor just above where the…

Most kitchen items do, so I don't really get the point. The bottom part will NOT get hot enough to damage the countertop. The control panel is attached with four Allen screws. He is NOT going. I have never noticed a bad smell coming from the oven. And now a word of praise: the timer works perfectly. I can't wait to try the…

Love this Multi Cooker

A few months ago we decided to save money and start cooking our own meals. (We ate Trader Joe's frozen meals and went out and the price went up very quickly.) Thing is, neither my husband nor I like to cook that much. So it's probably no wonder I'm bad at it. However, I stumbled across a great blog called The Year of Slow Cooking which gave me a ton of easy to make recipes in a very short amount of time. (I've since found other blogs with different recipes: Get Crocked and 365 Days of Slow…
