Do not buy! Good collar but the size is not right

I bought this as I was looking for a very durable collar for our female Pitbull. She measures 17.5 inches where her collar fits and I ordered 20 inches. I was VERY disappointed when it arrived because the collar was 20 inches but it was VERY small! The instructions said to order 2 inches longer than the neck size, which I did. It didn't even fit her, let alone the buckle. I measured the collar myself and it was exactly 18 inches long from the end of the buckle to the end of the tip. This is the

Nice collar, make sure you understand the size of this company.

I use this rolled leather collar on all my dogs. One reason is that it doesn't penetrate long-haired dogs and cause tangles. Another reason: it always stays in good condition (the same collar has been on the same dog for over 9 years). I had to return this particular brand due to the size. I measured my dog at the store and it fits 12" collars. It looks like this: At the store, the fit of the collar is measured by the actual amount of collar required to wrap around the dog's neck PLUS the…

Defect but the predecessor kept 2 dogs!

We purchased a 1" x 24" Rolled Hamilton Leather Collar with our last dog about 21 years ago (dark in photo). I estimate it was 12 years + another 9.5 years for our current dog before he collapsed from stress. Our current dog goes to the pond every night. I ordered the same brand and received a defective collar. The metal "tongue" was not in the middle of the skin, but shifted (see photo). I can't fix it. It's smaller as the old collar stretched an inch or two. Not suitable for the current dog…

They differ from their previous ones.

I already have two of these and have ordered a third for our new puppy so I am familiar with Hamilton leather collars. two exactly the same color and style including one of them exactly the same size. However, this new one feels a bit "cheaper" in the sense that it feels lighter and feels like it's not real leather. I don't mind being fake, I just think it should be labeled as such. Especially when I have an older one next to it and can feel the difference, it's a bit disappointing. I guess my…

Nice collar, just what I was looking for

I am very happy with this collar. This collar is perfect for my dog and it is very pretty too. It also appears to be a well-made collar. A few downsides are that we replaced our dog's nylon collar with this leather collar and although both are 14 inches long, the leather collar was about 3/4 inch shorter. Our previous rolled collar was smaller so we knew we would have some wiggle room with the new collar, but this may be an issue for others. Also, as to be expected with the new leather collar…
