scratchy horribly scratchy "pen" that actually cuts paper when writing. Visually beautiful, but practically unusable as a writing instrument. I looked through a 10x loupe and saw a problem: a cross-shaped tip - all sharp edges are covered with small chips. Sorry for the harshness, but this is awful.

To be honest I will be reaching for these instead of my calligraphy kit for drawing and writing. My calligraphy kit was discarded for this purpose. They are easier to use and easier to clean. I wouldn't even put the rubber pieces back on the tips because that's a way of breaking the tips. I use fish pump tubing and use that to keep the tips safe. I also store them in bubble wrap so nothing can bump or break them.

Well packaged and arrived whole. I was really surprised how easy and CLEAN it was to write. Having never tried a dip pen, I expected it to drip until I got the hang of it, but there was no mess. I dipped the pen in a bottle of Lamy ink that I bought for my fountain pen and there is no dripping. I found one side of the point moves more smoothly, but both sides work. It holds an amazing amount of ink, and changing the color of the ink is as easy as dipping the pen in water to rinse it out. I…

This glass marker set is affordable and beautiful. It works like any other glass pen, but what struck me was the overall craftsmanship of the pen. I have many glass pens that vary in style and color and I had a set of exactly the same, but the spiral ridges (the area of the glass pen that holds the ink) feel a bit odd and too wide. While the grips work well, I found that they just aren't as well made as they could be. Nice handles, no visible or problematic imperfections, just a little "wrong".

I am very impressed with these glass pens. They hold a lot of ink and you can write forever before needing to be refilled. I use them to keep daily logs of my activities and weekly planning, projects etc and they will write forever. If you look at the picture you can see a sample from a cheaper pen set sold in packs of ten. It's okay in a pinch, but you can only get 24 words in a single tap, and some characters are corrupted.
