good but slow good for furniture

This is a good alternative to USB if you don't have a computer with USB access, but the downside is the lack of speed, which is quite a lot.

This card is very easy to use (same ease of use as a USB port card). I love the sync feature that comes with the HandSpring visor.

It's a good alternative for Palm Developers

I've been developing software for Handspring with CodeWarrior. Unfortunately, the current version of CodeWarrior(c) doesn't support USB yet, so I'll have to look around for a Handspring serial cradle. It's very helpful for me to download the palm binary for the POSE/Palm emulator. I haven't tried this cradle with other programs, it seems to work with other programs as long as they support COMx.

Nice stand for computers that are not compatible with USB!

Visor Cradles work well regardless of the type of sync port used. This stand comes in handy when you need to sync data on your desktop or laptop and you don't have a USB flash drive installed on your PC. The price makes this a better deal than buying a USB stick unless you plan on using the USB port for other peripherals.

Great alternative

Great that Handspring makes this option available. My desktop has USB, so the USB stand that came with the visor is just what you need. But my laptop doesn't have USB. There are three options available. First, it's natural to live without a second cradle for a while because I'll be able to buy a new laptop soon. Who knows! Second, buy a PCMCIA card adapter for USB port. Third, buy a Handspring serial port stand. It's not a big decision, but it's not an easy one either. In fact, I thought aboutโ€ฆ
