We have used these type of hangers a lot in our new rental. They are very easy to install and, in my opinion, foolproof. We haven't had any issues with the items we've hung, ranging from a 6ft piece of art (with a large one) to a couple of small shelves I've built that size. No complaints. I found the Amazon price to be pretty close to the retail price but the selection was better.

Bought this for a £40 mirror thinking it was designed to hold a lot more weight. After installing it to the wall and the back of the mirror frame, I was nervous about just using the included screws in the straight drywall, but since they had a very coarse thread, I decided to give it a try. I hung the mirror and took it off after 30 minutes and found that the screws were starting to stretch out of the wall. I bought these to hang some full length mirrors around our house. They were much easier to use than the hangers attached to the side of the mirrors. With these hangers you don't have to worry about the thickness of the frame or if you could accidentally turn a screw too close to the mirror. All you had to do was screw it to the wall, attach the matching piece to the back of the mirror, and then hang the mirror on the wall.
