Good for hanging big heavy things

I like the design and production The nails that come with it are a little long and the holes are angled so you need to be very careful when installing. My application was a 3' x 3' frame made from 1' x 4' lumber. Wall panels have many holes. I just used drywall screws and it worked great.

Pros
  • Sturdy
Cons
  • Has flaws

Lets you use nails.

I had to hang at a very heavy price so I ordered (2) 12" brackets for this nearly 3 foot 50# piece of art. I was hoping to use a drywall screw to hook in a stud and some wall hooks or battens for more capacity and security. The extrusion is so low that you're forced to use nails and you don't have to drill anywhere to add your own fasteners Frame itself worked great with screws. .

Pros
  • Always hangs straight
Cons
  • Exchange available

Hang flat art close to the wall with no exposed fasteners

I bought this to hang an art jewelry shelf that weighed about 20 pounds. I wanted it to hang close to the wall without drilling a hole in it and I didn't want the hardware on the front to be visible. This worked really well and keeps the shelf just an inch from the wall. This worked well without the use of pull studs in the lugs, which is what I was hoping for. Installation was also very easy.

Pros
  • Installing nails will not damage the wall
Cons
  • No instructions

Best suited for large wall mirrors and flat surfaces

Best price for this type of heavy hanger. I have several mirrors that I wanted to hang on the wall and they do the job perfectly. Just note that they don't include screws, which is fine with me as a lot of the work depends on the wall and the weight you're planning to support anyway. If you're not sure, it's best to check with a local handyman at a hardware store (not in the big boxes).

Pros
  • Putting nails will not damage the wall
Cons
  • I will add later

Installation took longer than I expected.

I bought two sets of hangers because my bathroom mirror was heavy and I didn't want a weight issue. In fact, in my opinion, the design allows the item to be fixed securely with screws, but only with a very small nail on the wall, since it only has very small holes for attaching the wall part of the wall bracket. I had to drill big holes to insert the screws to attach the wall hanger piece to my wall. I liked how other people used larger screws to ensure it was securely attached to the wooden…

Pros
  • Always hangs straight
Cons
  • Very expensive
