Slightly thinner than the old trays I had. To update. A year of daily use in the shop. they hold up well. My set of Sunex sockets doesn't quite fit. The dampers are slightly wider than the chrome bushings. All in all they are fine
They work great except the 3/8" compartment in 7/16 is actually too big for my outlet and doesn't slide properly . I had to sand it down a bit to get it to fit and the 1/4 trays are a little flimsy, but they are flimsy so that's to be expected. overall they are great! I love them and look great in my tool box. Also only half green and metric are black trays so I was a bit disappointed. but for the money they do what I paid them to do.
Considering the well above market price that Hansen is charging for these plastic parts, you would think they would have put a little time and effort into making sure the 6mm Pins on the 3/8" drive bays are not too thick for 6mm sockets. It might be a relatively easy decision to grind it down, but it's a situation I could endure at a much lesser cost if I just went ahead and bought the significantly cheaper Made in China products offered by Hansen's competitors.
I recently dropped a 1/4" rack from 5 feet outside my truck with a full load and it bent one of the rods. But as long as they're in my box I'm stoked, this photo is in a snap-on box because I didn't want to pay Β£200 for plastic snap-on trays π Plus they're just necessary. I prefer these magnetic bowls because I have white labels that make them easier to find. Sockets are 100% a thing of the past. The faster specialist gets paid more π
