Done!: Accessories

I love the extra length. I'm bad with measurements so that was a lot for me, but I prefer to have more than to be a little short.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Updates

THIS IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH PHILLIPS DUE

Although another reviewer for the 3ft version, the 6ft version does not work with the Phillips shade. Don't waste money.

Pros
  • Great range
Cons
  • Quality

Not suitable for LED bulbs

I bought this to fit my LED bulbs. But that only works as long as I don't put the light on the highest point. If I use half brightness it works. If I increase the brightness it no longer works. I did another test and it kept happening. Tried different bulbs, same result. Dissatisfied.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Updates available

Super Solid AWG 18 cable

After an hour of searching on Revain this was the strongest cable I could find; and after receiving it and comparing it to others, I was able to confirm that it was superior to others. Basically it is AWG 18 wire which is much thicker and higher voltage. Unfortunately I needed something between 20 and 50 feet so I had to return it.

Pros
  • Decent performance

Can't handle high current without voltage drop

If you're only powering a 12V 0.5A device then you're probably fine. But if you're using it for 12v at 2+ amps, this isn't what you need. The cable gets hot, a voltage drop will most likely cause your device to stop working or work intermittently. If you move 5-24V more than 50 feet, you will get a significant voltage drop. You will likely make your own cable using 14 gauge copper wire (aluminum or copper-coated aluminum, which is likely to introduce even more voltage drop).

Pros
  • High marks for tester support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
