I've never tried to fly in my life, but I always thought the process seemed so mesmerizing and a great escape from the stresses of the day. I have not taken fly tying up yet, as there is not any water here that I could really fish in, living in the desert and all. I watched a few videos where they were using this resin to create the flies, and I thought this could work wonderfully for my new hobby. This is a really lovely resin, although it does have a lot of tiny bubbles that tend to get locked

Pros
  • Made in the USA!
Cons
  • The product may not be effective in securing larger or heavier flies, as the thin hard formula is not as strong as thicker adhesives

A big bottle of the good stuff

This is my favorite fly tying resin. Easy to use, no smell, cures fast and dry to the touch. This is my go to resin for finishing fly patterns.

Pros
  • Cures in Seconds when Exposed to UV Light!
Cons
  • The pump action bottle can be difficult to control, leading to wasted product and messy workspaces

Really great glue - my new review

Really handy for many purposes. It's a thin fluid, what when you expose to UV light it cures VERY quickly. Beyond using for things like tying flies I've used it to glue a broken pair of glasses for my wife, who was very happy for the quick fix.

Pros
  • GUARANTEED TACK FREE when cured with Solarez UV Light!
Cons
  • The UV cure resin may not be suitable for use on materials that are sensitive to heat, such as delicate feathers, fur, or synthetics

Cures Incredibly Fast

This resin comes in a black bottle for a reason: one flash of sunlight and it starts to cure. A little dab will do ya as they say -- as it doesn't take much to do the job. This company makes a lot of different resins and definitely has the chemistry down. Quality stuff and dries hard.

Pros
  • Fly Tying Equipment
Cons
  • The product can be fairly pricey compared to other fly tying adhesives, which may not be feasible for budget-conscious hobbyists
