I struggled to run the wire to the fuse box but the next day it stopped working. I made sure the small converter still had power and that the fuse was intact. It looks like the black box that does the 12V to 5V conversion is defective. Now I have to send this one back and get another one.

Please read the instructions carefully. Always refer to your vehicle's owner's manual on how to test fuses for consistent performance, use a fuse tester. Turn off the car. Run your wiring. And turn on the DVR. Always set the dash cam to turn off automatically after a few minutes, otherwise the battery will slowly drain.

I bought two of these to install dash cams on my Nissan Leaf and Honda Odyssey and they worked great on both cars. On the Odyssey I connected the power supply under the goggle holder (turquoise wire I think) and on the Leaf I routed the wire to the fuse box and plugged in the heated seat fuse. Very happy with the easy installation and how well it worked to have clean dash cams with no wires!

All necessary details are included in the package. - This will free up the cigarette lighter socket for other uses. - Most importantly, you don't have to work to stop the camera because the cigarette lighter plug sticks out a little from the socket. I haven't had a chance to test the low voltage cutoff yet. But everything else works as advertised.

. Installation was pretty darn easy, it took me all 15 to install from start to finish. Make sure you choose the correct power plug, this kit accepts both mini USB and micro USB ports which may not be for everyone. The instructions were clear and there are multiple fuse adapters for a variety of vehicles. Time will tell about the quality of the product, but first impressions are the best here.

The hardwire kit was good, I had to remove the so-called Type-C connector and connect the original Type-C camera because the one that came with it was too small. Please remember that if you do not install the correct fuse or ground the hardwire kit, it will not turn on. I know many people have this problem. Once it's grounded to the body of the car you should be fine.
