"Stabilizer plate " doesn't do anything

I bought the "plus" because it said it had an additional stabilizer plate that should stabilize the burr and make it more even, especially with coarser cuts. After receiving it I was disappointed. The hole in the stabilizer plate is too big to be of any real use and the burr wobbles back and forth creating a very uneven grind. I have attached two photos where you can see how much the bar can move in the stabilizer plate. I wouldn't be upset as the price isn't very high, but it's disappointing…

Made in China not Japan

Do you like it?• Glass bowl to make ground coffee easy to grind and smooth. Don't like it? • Too fat". Difficult to grip and secure leverage when grinding. • The crank design combined with the thick body makes it difficult and tiring to grind more than a few grams of coffee. • Possibly a Chinese mill and Japanese glass, but the fit was poor and it was difficult to wrap the mill body onto the glass receiver. • I have attached a scanned image of the instruction manual. Smooth grinding in manual grinders

Great product. Did a lot of research as did everyone else looking to upgrade their basic electric coffee grinders. After reading the comments and watching video reviews I settled on Hario Skerton Pro. I mostly use a french press and it grinds the beans really well. Grind consistency is perfect. Try to remove as much fine sediment as possible. With my electric coffee grinder, I have the feeling that the grinding level is too fine, even when it is set to coarse. Hario significantly reduced the…

How to adjust the grinder and video overview

Kyocera and Hario Skerton are the same grinders, just with different labels. Update: After I posted this video, Hario added a silicone lid and a bottom grinder lid to this one. Both are very practical: the lid prevents the beans from jumping out while grinding, and the cup at the bottom helps to keep them safe on the table while grinding. Original Review: We have been using this manual coffee grinder for about a year and love it more and more each time. At first we were a little annoyed because

Frustrated with time (over 1 year looking back)

Skerton Pro was the 3rd coffee grinder I owned. I used JavaPress before Skerton which is much cheaper. I decided to give Skerton a try, hoping it would take less effort. I found JavaPress slippery and over time I started to worry about hurting my wrists. Skerton initially seemed much better, but like the JavaPress, it became increasingly difficult to crank as it wore down its innards and the consistency of the grind began to deteriorate. . Ceramic grinding stones are very durable, but plastic…

Great product, improved with this mod.

After reading hundreds of reviews of different grinders and coffee grinders, I chose the Hario ceramic grinder. I love this product! As others have mentioned, it is very well made and also easy to use and clean. Thing is, if you plan on brewing more than one cup at a time, it takes time and, quite frankly, can tire you out. I used a coffee grinder in a French Press, which highlights another downside that many reviewers have mentioned. That means if you use it to grind larger coffee (like a…
