Description of 🐶 Harlow Blend All Life Stages Dog Recipe - Soy, Corn, and Wheat Free with Two Flavor Options & Sizes [Lamb Rice & Chicken, Rice Veggie]

FREE RANGE CHICKEN - Raised to the highest standards, from regulated and certified chicken farmers. BROWN RICE- Is rice that still has its fibrous and nutritious shell. This shell can provide a number of vitamins and minerals that can improve a dog’s health. DEHYDRATED FRUITS & VEGITABLES - Minimal processing and high bioavailability of nutrients. DOES HAVE YUCCA - For Healthy stools - Stimulates the breakdown of ammonia to reduce stool & urine odor. DOES NOT HAVE CORN - WHEAT - GLUTEN – SOY - These plant-based ingredients are inherently more difficult for your dog’s body to digest and derive nutrition from. These ingredients are common food allergens for dogs and can cause recurrent ear infections, skin problems, and digestive upset. DOES NOT HAVE PEAS - LENTILS - CHICK PEAS - It is thought that these ingredients could prevent your pets body from processing a vital amino acid called taurine. Taurine is essential for the healthy functioning of his cardiac system, and without it, his body cannot function as it should. Many owners choose pea-free food for this reason, to be on the safe side. DOES NOT HAVE - Artificial flavor or added color. Harlow Blend formulas use REAL MEAT, NATURAL INGREDIENTS, AND ENHANCED VITAMINS & MINERALS. ORIGINATING FROM CANADA, THE UNITED STATES, AND NEW ZEALAND. INGREDIENTS - Chicken meal, whole brown rice, hull less barley, whole oats, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols a form of vitamin E), dehydrated chicken flavor (liver), dehydrated whole eggs EU, Salmon oil EU, Flax seed, nutritional yeast, dried kelp, rosemary extract, dehydrated vegetables & fruit: carrots, pumpkin, cranberries, spinach, broccoli, green apple, blueberries, pears, bananas, rosemary extract, turmeric, dandelion, paprika. Low fat for cats

I usually order lamb my dogs love it. No problem with this feed (so far). The low fat and protein content is well suited to the special needs of my little ones.

I'm so happy to get this back in the US!

Recommended by my dog's breeder thirteen years ago, this dog food has been hard to come by around here for the last year or so. Our dog loves it so we imported it from Canada. We are glad that we can buy it here again.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Useless features

What offer! - Food

I bought this 8 pound bag of dog food for less than $6. I'm an ingredient reader and this is definitely a good dog food in terms of minimum ingredients and quality. My girls think it's funny. I don't often give them dry food, but make my own or buy quality canned food. I bought it only because of the price and the composition. I was surprised they liked it because they have turned down pieces in the past. If I were to feed pellets again I would definitely consider this brand and that particular

My dog loves it! Dryable

This review is for the Harlow Blend All Life Stages Dog Recipe, Soy, Corn & Wheat Free - Two flavors and sizes [Lamb, Rice & Chicken, Rice & Vegetables]. I have a large boxer/german shepherd mix and as he gets older he gets very picky about the food he eats. We decided to try this dog food for her and she loves it. Usually she likes toppers or wet food added to her dry food and this time it was the same. She doesn't love him enough to just eat. The first ingredients: chicken meal, whole grain…

Beans for free! in Food

I like that it's legume free as I have some concerns about a possible link between legumes and canine dilated cardiomyopathy. For more information, see "FDA study of a possible association between certain diets and dilated cardiomyopathy in dogs". Unfortunately, IIMHO, it also contains rice, which can contain too much arsenic. At least it has multiple grains, not just rice, so my anxiety is alleviated. I wish they would tell us how much fat chicken fat is (ranked ahead of the other fats on the…

They liked it! on Dry

My 2 small dogs can be picky when it comes to dry food but they love the Harlow mix of chicken, rice and veggies. This is a recipe for dogs at all stages of life, so it's great for people like me who have a 5 year old and a 13 year old dog to feed. They are both small dogs so I also like that the parts are small and not too heavy for them. Harlow is also free from soy, corn and wheat, which have been shown to be harmful to dogs. And as someone concerned about animal cruelty, I'm glad to know…

Looks Good: Dry

I chose this for Mr. Pikki as he can handle good nutrition. Pros: - Easy to bite into large chunks (reminds me of my daughter from Cheerios) - Natural, wholesome ingredients (I think) - No nasty odors - Easy to portion Cons: - Not Mr. Picky's favorite mix to supplement the dog's diet. The bag is easy to open and closes well thanks to the zipper. The small pieces are very similar to flat Cheerios flakes, greenish in color and very easy to portion. The instructions on the back help ensure the dog
