Enhancing Pellet Stove Efficiency with Harman Combustion Exhaust Fan Motor #3-21-08639 Review

This fan is so quiet it's almost inaudible compared to the original. Excellent purchase! Update: Well it took 3 months. What I thought was a great purchase the bearing blew up after just 3 months. I went to the Harman dealer and bought a new one. It cost me $60 more than this one, but at least it's a certified part. Don't waste your money.

Don't panic if your stove has a dual fan. It has a fan. Check and make sure you are replacing the correct part number and you should be fine. There are good videos on YouTube. I looked at several. Be prepared to splice multiple wires and/or cut and re-crimp the connectors that come with the device. I had no idea how quiet our Harman P61A could be until we added it.

The original motor I replaced it with was 1.75 amp so be aware that while it works great as a replacement, I don't expect it to be the same. lots of life out of it like I did with the original engine. If you are looking for an accurate motor replacement, check the amperage of other motors and choose a 1.75A motor. This one is not as powerful or durable as the original. (Less amps equals less RPM, which means less cooling power, which means more motor heat dissipation, which means shorter life).

I can't get enough of how quiet the oven is now. I didn't realize how loud it had become in the last 8 years. This item arrived with electrical connectors that I only had to cut/punch and crimp and snap together the connectors that came with the oven wires. Voila! When my combustion blower motor finally gave out after over 10 winters I called my local dealer and almost fell out of my chair when he quoted the price.
