🐶 Hartz UltraGuard ProMax Flea & Tick Collar for Dogs and Puppies - Tin of 2 Collars | 6 Months Flea & Tick Prevention and Protection Review

We only saw fleas occasionally and I bought them as extra protection for dogs. It didn't help. Within a month we actually had a lot of fleas. Had to put her back on an oral monthly course which I was trying to avoid.

This item is a waste of money. Both of my dogs have been wearing them for a few weeks after bathing them for fleas and now they both have fleas. I just got 3 from my white dog. Does not stop eggs and fleas. Do not buy this product.

The Hartz UltraGuard ProMax Flea & Tick Collar is safe and much easier than dirty ointment protection and much cheaper than chewing medication. I would recommend this product to anyone who is serious about protecting their puppies from fleas, ticks and mosquitoes.

This collar is great for my lab mix but not my 95 lb Pitbull. He's at the last marker, and he's already unzipped it two or three times. I might have to glue it or stick it with a gorilla. I haven't seen any of the dogs have fleas since I put collars on them, and they're usually a problem in warm Texas summers.

Actually, it could be better! Ticks are nasty little creatures (actually not as bad as foxtails) that belong nowhere else but in a possum's stomach. (See what I did? I gave a reason to love a possum.) I have a Seresto for my other dog but am planning to switch to Simparica (3 things at a time!) because of the price - and it's blue - I tried the Hartz. That's great! no free-living, blood-sucking, phew, ticks! No regret!

Both of my dogs got wounds/burns from this product! At first I thought they were scratching the collar because they weren't used to the extra collar, but then one of my little ones started whining and crying all the time and while she may be a drama queen, it was different. When I saw where it itched (just under the collar) I saw a oozing sore! I looked at her brother and found the same! It took antibiotics, creams and lots of hugs to make her feel better. DO NOT BUY THESE!
