Worked but drastically reduced engine performance. It never seemed to turn off higher when I was over 6000 feet above sea level. If you pull or push hard in extreme temperatures, this product is for you. If you drive around town every day, take the standard hitch.

This is a heavy duty clutch. I set it to 4.7L; 4.7 and 5.7 use the same radiator fan and water pump threaded coupling. This is hard work. It makes more noise, uses a little more horsepower, and might use a little more gas than a typical light clutch. Only buy this if you really need extra cooling for towing, hauling, in hot climates, etc. Made in the USA.

I used the clutch on a 2006 Dodge Ram Hemi. This is the definition of a "permanent" job. I don't think it ever shuts off at all unless you're on a freeway. Or even that, it might not turn off at all due to road noise taking over ambient and other diagnostic sounds. If you need an overdrive cooling system, get this one. This makes noises in the lower speed range more clearly perceptible.
