I had my doubts about the lamp. Installation was absolutely easy. Take that from someone who absolutely hates anything vehicle related. The brightness absolutely lets you see most of the road in front of you. Very white and has a nice wide angle. If you adjust it correctly, you will get a very good view. It is possible that this was not a fault, it is entirely possible that someone replaced the headlight assembly on my bike, there are other things that the Harley dealer changed on this bike before it was sold. A good headlight does two things: makes you more visible to other vehicles and lights up the road ahead. This light is so good for both of them. I installed it on my '08 HD Sportster XL1200. Overall the headlight looks great and is brighter than the standard halogen bulb that's for sure. But. it didn't fit properly. 1) The connector pins are longer than standard so they protrude slightly when fully inserted which can cause problems if moisture gets into the glass. I would recommend wrapping it with tape to be safe. 2) The entire headlight is slightly smaller than the can itself and dangles when fully installed which was annoying. Installed on my HD Street 750 this morning. It took about 20 minutes from start to finish. To remove the fairing, you need to unscrew the two screws with an Allen key and it will be removed immediately. Then two Phillips screws in the bottom front of the light bucket. Disconnect the wiring harness and remove the small light bulb below. Remove the 5 wire clips on the edge of the lantern. Be careful. You will fly away. Place the new lantern into the trim ring.
