No 64 ounce pitcher!

How do you describe it as a 64 ounce pitcher? It's a shame I didn't read the reviews more carefully. It's cute and small, but useless for Koolaid or Crystal Lite packs.

Pros
  • Only positive
Cons
  • Almost never

Arthritis is not for you.

Putting the lid on and off every time you pour in water or orange juice, whatever drink you choose, is a headache. Other than that, it's a good item, it's just very difficult for a person with arthritis in their hands to use.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Expensive

DO NOT BUY from Serveware

2 Liter Green Pitcher. The clear one I just ordered is listed here as 2 liters but it is definitely NOT. It's significantly smaller and the bottom is slightly raised, so it holds even less liquid than it can hold. Very upset with this purchase.

Pros
  • Worth the Money
Cons
  • No Form Required

Made of SAN (Styrene Acrylonitrile), not very safe plastic

Good. Not 64 oz unless you fill to the brim with the lid open. It is made of plastic #7 which can leach. Also not suitable for the microwave. This "Texas" company got it from CHINA, not the US. I discovered this after checking the bottom of the pitcher. Hope that helps

Not quite 2 litres: carafes and jugs

Sending mine back because if they made 1 more mug out of it it would make a good 2 QUARTER mug for Kool-Aid or Crystal Light for me. Just one more cup dammit. My fault for not paying attention. It fits perfectly in the fridge, feels sturdy and the lid definitely stays on - a bit of an effort getting it off.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Out of style

Came with a broken lid.

When I opened the box, small sharp pieces of glass fell into my hands that looked like broken glass. Apparently he was bullied before he came to my house. This inferior hazardous plastic should never be used for anything related to human food or water. Not worth returning for the $12 it cost. It's half the size I thought it would be. Guilty. I just assumed it was a regular pitcher. I'll leave it and just throw the lid away

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Discontinued

Unbreakable teapot

Bought to make iced tea rather than wasting money on bottles. It absolutely works. The only thing is how often I use it (refilling gallon teapots) it gets dirty pretty easily and I have to clean it. Again, this is just one section - where the lid rests, a ring forms. The rest is very easy to clean, but takes a little longer. It doesn't affect the quality, and that's the main thing. Just wipe the area more often.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Fixed "too tight " lid

Fixing the sticky lid mentioned in many other reviews. I couldn't half turn either. So I took my regular nail file and partially rubbed the four tiny ridges on the lid that make it so tight. Now the lid stays closed when pouring, but I can just screw the lid back on after pouring. I like the slightly under 2 liter jug because it's shorter and now fits on my fridge shelf when the full 2 liter size doesn't fit. It's the perfect size for me, very durable and attractive. If you use the…

Inaccurate product description. Not a 64 ounce container

This would be a great pitcher if the capacity was listed in the product description. but it is NOT a 64 oz pitcher. I measure 54 ounces at the bottom of the spout. If you're brave and don't mind filling it higher, you can probably get about 60 ounces, but that's about 1/4 inch from the top of the jug with liquid. I wanted to make an iced coffee pot with this and my 14 cup coffee maker weighs 64 ounces. Although the jug appears to be well made, pours well and feels quite strong, I really wanted…

Strong, small, does not seal

I bought this because I needed a 2 liter jug that would fit on the fridge shelf. It definitely fits and is very durable. BUT. When they say it's a 2 liter jug, they mean filled to the brim. which is of course highly impractical. Worse, the sides of the lid are a bit short so it doesn't completely block the spout, meaning if you dare fill it to the brim to get a full 2 liters you're in for a mess. Also, the lid snaps into place, which sounds nice until you realize it's also extremely difficult…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
