Not bright at all - Lighting and Lighting Accessories

Used one of the pair and it had about 1 candle power. Had to go and buy a light from Walmart for about $18 but it works so don't waste your money on this "deal".

Hella Bright for Light & Lighting Accessories

This was the cheapest replacement headlight bulb. No problem with that, it's just as bright as the other one. The packaging was a little flimsy, the bukbe was in an unsealed box in a Revain cotton sleeve, but it got here safe and sound.

  • Great for me

Can't beat the money $$

Can't comment on durability yet, but bought these to use with some conversion lenses I ordered (just to see if the setup works). I was planning on swapping them out right away if that all works, but I was relatively impressed with how bright they are for standard bulbs and will probably leave them for now. Can't beat the price.

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • Extendable

It does not take long. - Headlight Bulbs

Bought these bulbs to replace bulbs in Honda CRV headlights. First, they are AWESOME! Very bright, easy to install and nice clean white light. My biggest problem is that they don't last very long. I got 8 months from the first set and only 1 year from the second set. My OEM Honda headlights lasted about 4 times as long but can't find them anywhere online.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Low Repairability

Worth a second chance

I've had mixed experiences with Hella lamps. I recently replaced a couple of light bulbs in my girlfriend's car after one of the first pair of bulbs (another common high wattage brand) died after 15,000 miles/1 year. I did one side, she did the other, and I told her about it. Less than a month later, one of the bulbs exploded, leaving dark spots on the bulb. This is a classic breakdown associated with touching the glass. However, we were very careful not to touch the glass. So either the bulbโ€ฆ

A great replacement if you are on a budget.

Purchased for a 2001 Toyota 4Runner that uses one bulb for both low and high beams. After spending a lot of money on Sylvania bulbs, I decided to give it a try. The color temperature is more like daylight yellow (4300K) than the traditional halogen color. Thing is, if your car uses a 9003 bulb for daytime running and low beam, expect it to burn out faster. 4Runner daytime running lights are always on when you ride, so they have a short lifespan no matter what brand you use (unless they're LEDโ€ฆ

SHELF ONLY 19 MONTHS

Something is wrong in the land of Revane. It used to be that you could find something inexpensive with good reviews but of high quality. But lately CHEAP + great reviews = SCAM. These lamps only lasted 19 months. Just in case, I left an old Sylvania tuber that was 10 years old. Well, he's running again. I think I've fallen victim to yet another "Made in China" nonsense. People leave positive feedback too soon. I always appreciate feedback when a product has fulfilled its mission. I want to know

Lasted exactly one year

You know, the price is good and the light quality is excellent. But I replaced both headlights with this Hella on our Odyssey in 2004, and almost exactly a year later one of them burned out. We bought the Transporter at the end of 2004, so 11 years on the original Honda and 1 year on the Hella. Hella's price back then was about the same as it is today. With a 10x lifespan increase, the Honda originals would be a lot cheaper if you keep the car for a long time. We're not keeping it that long soโ€ฆ

The path shines long after the others have gone.

I'm tired of my Honda Element eating headlight bulbs from Sylvania and other big brands I can't think of right now and I've tried many bulbs from them at different prices. Then I saw them at Revain and remembered that I used to use Hellas for my sports cars and bikes so I decided to give it a try. I've stocked them up but the bulb-eating Honda still burns the first two I put in, long gone is the time it would burn the others. Yes, I know not to touch the bulb when installing - that's not whyโ€ฆ
