It's thick enough but you can't put your hands in the pockets. Seriously, the person who designed this jacket must have had children's hands. Runs small, glad I bought a size up.

Hard to tell from the material when buying online. BUT this is exactly what I wanted, a waterproof fisherman jacket! It fits true to size, love the length and it's perfect. I got the gray mist because it was only $50 and I think it's a cool color! Highly recommended!

Bought this for my daughter to wear under a soccer jersey most of the time on cold rainy days. It was a little big for her and didn't offer enough breathability. I ended up coming back for a slightly smaller and lighter brand that works great. I have the male version and I love it.

I bought this rain code while working as a disaster insurer and going to fairly wet areas. I kept it in the back of my car and it was easy to travel with. It has saved me from drowning many times. Highly recommended if you are looking for a traditional fully waterproof rain jacket.

I live in New England and am moving to the UK soon. Needed a new raincoat after a horribly rainy trip to Norway and this fitted the bill! More flexible and less malleable than I expected. Very comfortable and good protection from rain. There is a zipper and buttons (a must for me). I also like the light gray color.

I always buy Helly Hansen women's clothing one size up. I usually wear medium in Helly. I ordered a large one so I can layer it up - it's very, very large and oversized. However excellent quality. In the end I left the size large to look plus size and to be able to layer on cold rainy days. Ideal for outdoor adventures on the horizon. Great jacket, great color and great wind and rain protection. Fantastic find!

Definitely 5 stars for REALLY WATERPROOF! :- 2-way zip would be a huge benefit for comfort, fit and breathability - needs a more flared fit at the bottom, this helps prevent water running straight down the jacket onto your hips when you walk and part of your pants wet very heavy rain - a slightly roomier hood would be nice to leave more room for a knitted hat - the hood should have a strong brim around the face to withstand rain and wind better. It folds at the top and the
