Looks used or refurbished. I'm not sure if I received the original product. I inspected it, I could easily find deep scratches and scuffs and dents as you can see in the photos. Also the paintwork looks cheap up close, the scuffs are visible to the naked eye and also visible in the photos where they were reflective. I'm assuming the metal isn't durable or 18/10 if there are scuffs and dents like this. Not the twin I know. Substitute.

A very solid and impressive set. I was always looking for a quality set that wasn't made in China and didn't cost a fortune. Finally found it. I bought the "transparent" version, it has a nice and simple design - perfect for everyday use. I washed and dried them quickly after unpacking them, so I can't confirm the rusting as other reviewers have stated. Only time will tell. They make a fairly stable and well-made impression.
