No fake after sale

I used it on my 2008 Audi S4. It turns out that it is made by the same manufacturer as the oil filter in the car. This gives me a lot of confidence that it "meets the specs".

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Compatibility

2005 Audi A8 Oil Filter Kit

This is a great OEM oil filter for my 2005 Audi A8. This is the same filter that Audi rebrands as an OEM part with its own box. Comes with the correct oil filter cover o-ring and oil filter housing drain plug washer.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Expensive

2005 Audi S4.

I used this as an OEM filter replacement on my 2005 Audi S4. It was perfect, but I ended up reusing the drain plug washer (no problem, it doesn't leak anyway and I reused the drain plug washer in my previous car for almost 10 years).

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Good price. No oil drain plug.

It looks like it comes with a washer for the drain plug (which should be replaced at every oil change) but it doesn't. There is a smaller washing machine, the purpose of which escapes me. Luckily the local Audi parts department just gave me one when I asked for it. Comes with a replacement O-ring for the oil filter cover.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • No

Oil filter Audi S4 4.2L 2006

Easy spare part for Audi 4.2L. The oil filter housing is located directly above the engine, so replacing it is not difficult. The small white circle in the picture looks like a drain plug washer but is not included. Audi recommends changing the shim with every oil change, but honestly, as long as it doesn't look damaged, you can change the oil at least a couple of times before you need to change the shim.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Top notch product and US customer service

Mine came with a white o-ring. I called Hengst NA headquarters in North Carolina and got the most amazing customer service representative. She confirmed that some of the filters were switched to synthetic material and they were indeed white. She enjoyed working at Hengst and genuinely believed (like me) that Hengst made a much better product. It's nice to have an enthusiastic, happy employee who can't say enough good things about their company (unlike an apathetic offshore helpdesk whose job it

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Something different
