After installation, the antenna works, receives local channels. I installed it on the roof of a big truck. There was a factory antenna that broke and I fitted it into the existing 3/4 inch hole.

You get what you pay for. The antenna is very poorly finished, the paint doesn't even cover all the metal on the mounting base. The plastic at the base sticks out so it wobbles back and forth even when tightened. After all that, I plugged it in and got zero channels. My radio worked better without an antenna. I tried another one from another company and it works perfectly. Stay away from it.

As stated in the title. Love the fact that it falls apart at various points on the mast making it easy to remove and replace. I'm looking for more stability and sealing during assembly. Update: After being on my car for only 6 months, the rubber mast breaks and the entire antenna is no longer black. It is now stained and turning gray and needs to be replaced. I used this on my 2011 Toyota Corolla LE. This particular car, like many others, has an antenna in the rear window and I didn't like the radio reception with it. I installed this antenna in my car in less than an hour and it works great with excellent reception. I used RTV around the gasket and the plastic support below. I never trust Pads alone.
