Good, sturdy case, but you need to experiment a little with placement of the scanner, cable and adapter to close it. If you put the scanner back to front and put the devices on the cable on the same side and place the adapter at its end at the end of the housing next to the scanner, everything can work. The case has an odor but not pungent. Hope it resolves.

I bought it with a portable scanner, it came on time and is as described. This case works great. I recently moved and forgot I left it in a small dresser. The dresser fell to the ground a few feet up the stairs, but when I went to check the portable scanner, it worked. The case did its job of protecting the scanner and I found that there were no scratches or dents on the case. It holds!

I bought this case to protect my portable scanner which I bought the same day. The quality of the case is excellent, it protects the scanner very well when traveling. It is durable and easy to open and close. The only negative with a portable scanner (it was a recommended bag) in this case there is no place to store the cable for the scanner, there is not enough space in the bag. I just put the cable in my laptop bag as they usually go together. But overall great.

Completely as described, sturdy protective case that definitely protects the VuPoint Wand and Car Dock. There's a cute little handle on the back for easy portability, and inside there's a small pocket with a lid to store the dock cable. The Car Dock itself fits neatly in and doesn't rattle. The reason I give it 3 stars is because mine arrived with a terrible smell. I can't get the smell out no matter what I do. I plan to return the item.

DO NOT plan on storing the charger and cord that came with the VueScan handheld scanner in this case. They do NOT fit in the body. The 5.5V adapter does not have hinged wall power connectors. There is a small "pocket" on the top of the case that has enough room for a couple of SD card sleeves, but that's about it. The cable doesn't fit in this small "pocket" or the case won't close. If you are using a different power supply, it can be attached to one end of the case and the cord can be twisted…
