Fell apart on 2nd use.

July update. I have never heard from the seller that these items literally fall apart with use. Consider the failure PLUS the fact they were used for life safety training. And I have the impression that the seller cares little about his customers. :(--Second time I used them. They ripped and fell apart! What I thought was good turned out to be the opposite. - Got them for firefighter training. AMAZING! Only problem. The top barely fits mine Foot.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Velcro comes off

This is a good product, easy to carry and very light. The only problem is that the velcro becomes looser and looser over time and doesn't have enough holding power. As long as I wear them and only walk 30ft, they slowly slide down to your ankles so you have to hold them back on your knees before cycling. When cycling, they stay on their knees. If it can be improved somehow, that would be great. Regardless, I still use them as I was in a bike accident and hit my knee pretty hard and I wasn't…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Frequency

Perfect for the price

*Budget* knee pads at my local bike shop sucked. In particular, I was looking for something that - pivots to allow for both walking and riding - securely attaches to both the shin and thigh - can be quickly put on and taken off any type of pant I was wearing (ie I had to add an extra layer against changing weather conditions) and offer not only frontal protection but also protection on the sides of my knees/legs. These seals meet all requirements in all areas! Of course there are better/tougher

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Excellent, reliable knee pads for your money!

Pros: affordable, comfortable, excellent coverage, strong but soft protection. Cons: Not as smooth as some others, but heavier than smaller/smooth pads. They have strong Velcro straps both above and behind the knee, as well as padding on the side of the knee and upper calf. Wearing them in around 100 degree heat (99 confirmed via radio in a nearby town) I can vouch for the ventilation of these things. Well, they won't bring the temperature down in this heat, but they're no worse than my shoes…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Not enough padding for the knees

In general these are regular knee pads. They should have added a little more padding in the main knee area. I had to buy some EVO foam and add it to that area. The top strap was about an inch shorter so I sewed it on. The kneecap isn't hard plastic, more like softer plastic with a thin layer of foam covering it. Tarmac, but if you fall I think they'll take the first hit pretty well and save your knees. Seams are single throughout the brace but crossover at stress points with peripheral padding…

Pros
  • Fits me great
Cons
  • No instructions
