These gloves work well but I'm not sure about cuts and punctures as I haven't had any incidents to describe. What I really like about them is their fit, they follow the contours of my hand and give me more flexibility when working with wood. I really can't wear loose gloves around cars, loose gloves are just looking for an accident. They also wear about the same as any pair of good leather work gloves.

I had a pair of these that I got at work that I had for 5 years. I recently lost them and bought another pair. These are great for tool assembly. I spend most of my day assembling and disassembling tool sets for steel presses. Therefore, in addition to abrasion resistance, a certain heat resistance is also of great importance. The only problem I had was my hand getting caught between a small and medium sized glove.
