High quality set at a very competitive price. Good tiles (nicely printed, no chemical smells although smaller) in neat packaging, with an instruction page clearly explaining the rules. It's better if you can read Chinese. If not, you just have to get creative and maybe give each tile a name/tag. I will buy a second set for a friend as a gift.

Surprised how good this set is considering it's one of the cheapest. Very nice case and nice tile with good engraving. There is no prevailing wind marker so use caution. There was also room in the case for the tiles to move, which I didn't like, but I just cut out a small block of wood to fill the gap, which works great. Overall very satisfied and would recommend.

I haven't played mahjong for many years! Bought this set for my mom for Mother's Day. She liked it very much. Some people have complained that the tiles aren't numbered, but this set is how the original tiles were meant to be and I love it. There are only about a dozen characters, so it's not that hard to learn. But if you want them to have numbers, choose a different set. It was perfect for my family and the box is beautiful!

The box was good but a screw on the clasp was loosened on receipt and didn't hold. I had to screw it back in, but it's so loose I think I'll have to screw it back in and maybe glue it back on soon. The other seems weak, but not yet weakened. I'm assuming these screws will loosen over time as well. The rest of the box and details seem fine and it's only used at home so I'm keeping it despite the locking issues.

I was really impressed with the quality of this mahjong set! I gifted it to my sister-in-law from Hong Kong, so I wanted it to be beautiful while also being comfortable to use. I was impressed with how solid the parts were and she loved that too. It moves well because it's not too big, but big enough to play a real game. Unfortunately, there are no tile coasters, but she didn't mind that since a lot of people lay them flat on the table anyway. I'll probably buy one too!
