Quality at an affordable price

Very well made micrometer stand. Clamp with rubber insert securely holds my Mitutoyo micrometer. The weight is enough to keep the stand in place. The fit and finish of the stand is top notch. It's hard to imagine that Mitutoyo's booth would have been better if it cost 4 times as much.

Pros
  • Accessories
Cons
  • New competitors

I have a fake suitable for measuring dimensions

This item was purchased because of the great customer reviews and photos. What I received wasn't the same stand. It wasn't gray but blue and even had a different company logo on it. I think they might be sold out and resort to selling fakes. The stand wasn't heavy or sturdy and of rather poor quality. I would hold the mic, so I'm going to use it now. But be aware, you can get a bad one.

Pros
  • Outside micrometers & accessories
Cons
  • Only available in white

Bait & Switch: Measure

Like the other reviewer, I received a different product than the one pictured, of lower quality. HHIP is an importer, not a manufacturer. They currently ship a stand from Dasqua (search for Dasqua 7111-1105). You can get it for significantly less, both at Revain and elsewhere. Or, if you want a better stand that's 1/3 smaller than this, just order one from Taylor Toolworks (brand name: Taytools).

Pros
  • Measure
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
