These bristle brushes are much better than the plastic ones. Not only are they great for washing vegetables, but they're also great for cleaning cast iron cookware as they won't damage spices. My sink can't do without one of these brushes.

Other reviewers who say the bristles are too soft are correct. It works if you're gentle, which you don't really need to do with some things like potatoes. Works well on tomatoes as they are soft. I would not recommend that.

A little silly to maintain a bristle brush, but it's the most reliable cleaning tool in my kitchen sink. The bristles clean well but are resilient. If they bend, then only temporarily, they will return to their original position after a short time. It cleans more thoroughly than nylon or foam, won't damage the non-stick coating, but removes all but the most stubborn stains after a warm soak.
