Your tea deserves more than this tea ball nonsense.

If you're brewing tea like a civilized person (put it in the teapot, folks!), an overflow strainer is a must. This strainer looks great on the tea tray and in my mug, spanning what needs to be strained. Cheap price and quick delivery didn't hurt either!

Pros
  • Home and Kitchen
Cons
  • Uninsured

Hardworking and decent.

This tea strainer is beautiful and does the job well. It's too shallow for me as the tea tends to slosh if poured too quickly and makes a nice little mess. It is very easy to clean, unlike mesh strainers where tea leaves get stuck and difficult to pull out. Some small tea leaves come out and can get very hot if very hot tea is poured into it. Overall a worthwhile purchase.

Pros
  • Coffee, tea and espresso
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I love the look of this strainer

I love the look of this strainer. It is very durable and well made. My only complaint is that the holes are pretty big. I added my tea leaves and filled the cup with water to cover it and strained a few times. I make a pot out of the inserts and drain after cooking to see if that's the best way to use it. Besides, I have nothing to complain about, and to be honest, the tea leaves at the bottom of my cup aren't the end of the world anyway.

Works great when used correctly.

Very beautiful and very well made, great price. I brew loose tea and then pour the finished tea through this strainer into a cup. It works great! You can't put loose tea in the strainer itself and then pour hot water through it to brew. It's not deep enough. I assume it wasn't made to be used in this way. Whenever I see an infuser like this on UK TV shows and films it is always used as a loose leaf tea kettle infuser. I love my sieve!

Pros
  • Tea filter
Cons
  • Socket required

Really cute strainer!

If anyone says this is less than five stars I will question their rating. Not only is this little device heavy, it has no rough edges, it works by straining tea leaves and it fits perfectly in a mug PLUS it was so damn cheap it got FIVE stars. My grips are fine, nothing sharp anywhere, nothing wrong with that. I'll be getting a few more to make sure I have something to give! I know that my guests in my home will be wondering where I got this item from. Oh, and the back says Made in Japan!

Pros
  • Tea set
Cons
