I would prefer a comb with finer teeth to hold my fine hair. It takes some practice to get the comb to stay in my hair properly, but I've found that dampening the hair in the insertion area with wet fingertips really helps to keep it in place.

I bought these for my florist to make myself wedding flower combs and ended up only needing one for what I thought would be my giant one Head ! This is exactly what you need if you want to create floral headpieces for any event. The double wire teeth created additional opportunities to stick flowers while still grabbing my hair. They stayed in place all night through my wedding party and held the flowers perfectly for me to dry and keep as keepsakes!

I ordered two sets consisting of 10 hair combinations. Of the ten, 4 came totally bent and 3 had small tarnishes, almost as pale as peas. I removed the tarnish with jewelry polish and dented the deformed parts but it was very annoying. I would not recommend this item if you are looking for something you can use right away.

3 of 5 arrived in acceptable condition. The other two have more or less strongly curved teeth. I can't imagine how it happened because they were all put in a little box. I'll try to straighten the crooked teeth, but I only use two combs at a time, so the crooked ones remain.

These work well for thin hair — the kind that everything slips out. Wear them on slightly damp hair if you can, adding a little side to side as you style to keep them in place. If your hair is similar to mine (a lot of it, but very silky), these combs are probably the most effective you'll find.

I asked if they could be cut but got no answer so I bought them and tried them out and with some wire cutters and needle nose pliers it is possible and works well. The teeth are made of a metal similar to that used for jewelry or wire wrapping, making it easier to cut and bend into the desired shape. The flat bar holding the teeth is much stronger, so it's a little harder to cut. Once arrived, they make great decorations or veils. The only thing I noticed was that the tooth wire slipped off one

Although metal combs are inherently more durable and stronger than plastic combs, the teeth on these combs are simply wire wrapped around a shaft. They bend easily and cannot be straightened. They arrived mangled from poor storage and packaging, bent and out of shape, and they just look damaged. However, they hold the hair in place quite well and don't break, so despite the aesthetic look I keep them to myself.
