Product works exactly as described. Aside from the tap being bigger than the M12 I think it's an M14 so make a bigger hole to put in the spool to fit your M12 bolt. This confused me, so hopefully it helps the next person.

For the price of this item I could have just bought a caliper and replaced it like bolts had snapped out of the caliper hole. Drilling a larger hole and installing a coil spring was a task, but a doable one. It was very difficult to find a 14mm bolt to replace the original factory 12mm bolt. It was a mission, but it was finished and attached well to the caliper mount. I will be getting new front calipers soon as they are around $100 a pair at my local AutoZone or Advanced Auto Parts.

This kit wasn't a bad price for what you get but it's not as good a product as the Heli-Coil range. I used this to fix a rollator (wheeled walker) used daily by a disabled person to ensure stability. The thread created at the same time in the aluminum bar for attaching one of the front wheels came loose. We needed it for immediate use so we were hoping to use the red Loctite to hold it together until a new part arrived. After 48 hours of curing, lovtit could not compensate for the poor…

Watched several videos to learn how to use this product to repair a bent caliper bolt hole. I drilled for at least 30 minutes with breaks, and in the end the drill stopped cutting. I'm not sure if it's faded or what, but I couldn't get through to the piece. Eventually I gave up and switched to a faucet as my replacement screw needed to be shorter. Trying to fix rusted threads on my 2015 Rav4 to install a clutch. Read all the reviews (not many in this case) and realize it was just a dump and I will never use it again so I will save some money and buy a cheaper brand. I was wrong.
