Size XL fits my standard size German Shepherd 85 lbs (42 kg). Good design. Heavy duty straps. The leash hole is a bit small but works (we use a harness, not a neck leash). I never would have thought of a raincoat for a dog but the Icelandic rain is no joke and the dog gets wet pretty quickly. I will update after a few months of wearing but for now I am very happy with the purchase.

This little raincoat was perfect for our giant German Shepherd. During our walks she got so wet that she shook off the water and my performance suffered a lot. It's lightweight but has enough weight to make it fairly durable. Probably not suitable for free play, but great for walking. The measuring instructions were great too, but necessary, so don't skip this step when ordering. It suits her.

My new lifeguard weighs about 62 pounds, with a 19 inch neck and 26 chest. She is 22 long! I ordered a large one. He looked like he would fit a tiny poodle, not a muscular pocket baby! So I reordered XXL! Fits great with space for a sweater underneath! Strap/leash hole is too small. I only use it for my raincoat in the garden! Please update the size chart above. I bought 4 sizes because they are so small I have a 15 week old German Shepherd who weighs 30lbs, she normally wears a size medium but the size fitted me not so I bought a large size and it still barely fits GSD which is skinny. I made the same thing for my 6'1" girlfriend who is 83lbs and usually wears 2x but she has to wear 3x in this product. So there are sizes that are definitely small. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it doesn't cover my dog's two most sensitive areas (ears and base of tail). So those areas still get wet causing him to shake off the water causing me to get wet. I even went for the largest size and it still doesn't cover the base of his tail or his ears. Plus he likes wearing it and it keeps him from getting completely wet every time we drop by. Rain and I've learned to wear a raincoat to stay dry. So take what you want with you.
