Good belts for men

These belts are exactly what I wanted and they are well made. I liked these belts so much that I went to Thomas Bates' website and bought another one in a different style. I overlook the fact that the belt I ordered online had terrible stitching near the buckle. I sent it back and got another one which was ok. I'm not sure what's up with that, but these two straps were amazing. Update 4 years later: I'm still wearing these two straps and they're still holding up. The buckle on one broke because

Very nice basic and everyday belt

I was looking for a belt with a plastic buckle for on the go and through metal detectors. Finding her wasn't as easy as I thought. I use these bands for everyday use. They have a nice width, are made of durable material, the buckle is very secure. I didn't shorten them like I thought, but being able to do that is a nice feature. I can't comment on the durability of the buckle with frequent use as I've only had the straps for a relatively short time. But I have a feeling that with careful and…

Extremely practical belts

What I like most about this set of two belts is that they are very practical without being flashy. -- Lightweight -- Either color (solid black and khaki) goes with almost everything I wear -- While not frilly, they look good enough to wear with the dress code and are sturdy enough too to run outdoors and actively adventure -- They contain no metal, so they don't work when I'm flying. I can wear them on my belt - they are infinitely adjustable. Very topical after the holidays! - Speaking of…

Good belt. - Men's

After reading other reviews I was afraid that the plastic buckle on these belts might be fragile. While I can't guarantee they'll never break, my belt buckles seem strong enough to keep me from spoiling them and they easily hold up to my everyday wear. Considering the price paid these straps are very attractive and strong enough that I'm not worried about ruining them at all. The nylon webbing is thinner and a little stiffer than I imagined (I was imagining a seat belt), but the result is a…

Surprisingly Good All-Purpose Belts

These belts are just great all-round belts. Black also looks good in a more formal dress. All plastic means you don't have to take it off for airport security. And they work as good harnesses in various other contexts, hence the nickname "Tourist". And the quality, we have already bought several (half a dozen moving vans) and none of them broke even with rough handling.

They have 8 of these harnesses in both cash and standard

I've worn Thomas Bates touring harnesses for about 10 years since I bought a custom harness from a BSA naval base in the Florida Keys. They are lightweight and easy to use and the buckles have never let me down. Buying two packs will save you some money. They're great for international travel and adventures (like scuba/snorkeling) where you can get wet.

These straps are well made, but the straps were .

These straps are well made but the straps are a bit thinner than I expected. You put it on once and they lose their shape. I have similar harnesses with a stiffer webbing, with the same T-Lock buckle, and I wear them every day. These straps, as the name suggests, are for light hiking, but I can't carry them with a belt knife.

  • Very good value for money

Plain Nylon Belt - Belt

Lightweight, braided, 1 1/4 wide nylon belt with buckle. Friction closure is also nylon, I like the design. Good for everyday. I cut mine to length and then heated to melt the ends to keep them from fraying. I also rounded the ends to help guide the strap into the buckle. Make sure you don't cut it too short as some pants sit on different waist/hip heights. Haven't tried it at the airport yet, but very easy to thread through the belt loops. I've been wearing black for about 3 weeks, so far no…

Strong, flexible, adaptable

I have been buying, using and wearing these belts for about ten years now. Frankly, they can wear out only because after a long time and after working under cars or on the floor, the surface of the belt "glistens” and can look ugly for a church. In your case, a run through the washing machine might do the trick, but in my case I just do the greasy dirty work and get new ones. My only complaint is that I'm not as smart as some people and I leave the straps in my pants and throw my pants on the…
